Born 1961 by Sailing Light XX. Imported from England, Ladykiller XX stood at stud from 1965 to 1969, and is still one of the most sought-after names in pedigrees of both breeding and competition stock. His blood is found in every country interested in breeding show jumpers. There are only a handful of world-famous sire lines and Ladykiller XX's is one of them, which puts him in the same elite group as Gotthard for the Hannoverians, Almé and Furioso XX for the Selle Francais, and Ramzes X for the Holsteins and Westphalians;
The Selle Francais Cor de la Bryére is also arguably a candidate because of his influence on the Holstein breed. Ladykiller XX sired twenty-three graded sons and one of them, Landgraf I (1966), is the leading German sire. Lord (1967) by Ladykiller XX out of a Cottage Son XX dam was ranked ninth in the same list. Competition horses sired by Ladykiller XX are exceptional, including Ladalco (1969), who won a bronze medal in the three-day event word championships at Lexington; Landgräfin, the international show jumper who holds the Austrian high-jump record with Hugo Simon; and Eddie Macken's Boy, who was second in the Hamburg Jumping Derby in 1976 amongst other successes.
